Robert Warren DeVilbiss is Vice President and Team Leader for Aon Risk Services Grand Rapids, Michigan. Rob is responsible for Aon service delivery and resource allocation for several clients in the manufacturing, life science, higher education and retail industries.
Rob has over 25 years of experience servicing the risk management needs of middle market and risk management firms operating in manufacturing, life science, higher education, and retail sectors. He also has 16 years of experience in risk management consulting and brokerage with major global brokerage firms.
Rob specializes in customizing risk financing solutions to meet client’s risk philosophies and budget. He is skilled in mergers and acquisitions. Along with specializing in risk management issues associated with Japanese owned firms, Rob also specializes in international property and casualty program coordination.
Upon moving to Grand Rapids from Chicago in 2002, Rob began working with School-To-Career Progressions and now serves as the Chair. School-To-Career Progressions is a non-profit organization that improves the achievements of Grand Rapids at-risk students in middle and high school. Through the help of community volunteers, organizations, and local professionals, Progressions guides students through their adolescent development to improve their grades and future goals.
He also serves on the Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation where the focus is to expand programing for youth literacy and community development. He is also an active member of Junior Achievement, Trout Unlimited, Ruffed Grouse Society, Kent County Conservation League, Pere Marquette Rod and Gun Club.
Rob earned a degree from DePaul University and a M.B.A with concentration in Finance from the Kallstadt Graduate School of Business. He also obtained his B.A. in Economics from St. Lawrence University (Omicron Delta Epsilon, Economics History). He is also Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
